Happy Halloween!

We had a very fun first Halloween. Joey's friends Will and Leo stopped by, the Lion was a popular costume. Derek had today off, so we were able to hang out tonight and hand out candy.

Joey's first cold... =(

We have now experienced the joy of having a sick child. Only a minor cold, and I think I was more upset about it than Joey was.. but he definitely has a lot of snot... and has not been eating or sleeping well... therefore neither have mommy or daddy. I feel like my mom.. I've got the humidifier running with vic's vapo rub...

A Play Date

Ernie and Celia came over for a play date today. Celia just wanted to give Joey some love, but he wasn't too thrilled with her attempts. Celia got to experience the joy of having a puppy (or small sized lion) as a pet. We were amazed at how not afraid she was of Bentley. He is a huge dog, and Celia would go right up to him and hug his face. He is our gentle giant, and takes a lot of fur pulling from Joey. Thanks for coming over Cousin Erin and Celia. Celia is hilarious and had both Derek and I in tears from laughing!!

Girls weekend

Joey got to spend a fun day and night with daddy, while mom went to Duluth with her friends from work to run the Fitger's 5K. Everyone did really great, and after we went shopping, then back to our hotel to get ready for dinner at the Olive Garden, and then a night out on the town. Which.. made me feel really old! Grandma's and the Tap Room just aren't quite the same any more. Derek drove down this morning, and we went to check out lindsey and brian's apartment. We took a little drive up to Brighton Beach and then back home.

The Three Amigos

We went to Julie and Kevin's tonight for dinner, before the last football game of the season. We didn't go to the game, because we don't have a babysitter for 4-5 more weeks...
Leo was taking turns patting Will's head, and then patting Joey's. I think we can officially say that Joey can sit up, although he still falls over. Will was so cute... sticking his tongue out for the camera! The twins were missing for this play date.. maybe next time. We hope Ed won the game tonight!! Go Blue Devils!

Auntie Suzi stopped by today to drop off the beautiful hat and sweater she knit for JOey. Winfrey decided to give joey some love too. Grandma and grandpa stopped by the other day too. Bentley always keeps an eye on his boy. Grandma is recovering well from her appendectomy, although we have to supervise her with joey, because the temptation to lift him is too great, and she is on a 10 # lifting restriction for 5 more weeks. Joey is probably over 19 pounds! Also, thanks to Auntie Sally for babysitting Joey on saturday morning since both Grandma's are out of commission!

Celia..... we wish we could come to your party. We hope you have a super fun day!! Who is getting a bigger cake? Papa Jack or you? Tell mommy and daddy we miss them too!

A Fall Day

We took a ride up to the lake so Joey would take a nap in the car... he has been good at taking only 1/2 hour naps. aghhhhh
My dad pulled the dock out, cabin season is officially over for this year. =(
