Hand me downs..

When Julie Pietrini and I drove out to Annapolis for our friend Maggie's graduation from the Naval Academy, I bought this sweatshirt for cousin Tony Maras. Jo Ellen saved it, and sent it back to us, and now Joey can wear it. Thanks Jo for saving it for us!

My first baseball game

Our friend Ed coaches the 8th grade blue devils, so we took a walk to the field and went to support Coach Cremers. As you can see, Joey was so excited it put him right to sleep!

We keep waiting for that intentional smile. Every now and then we get a crooked smile, but it is either after he is done eating or gas....

My new Friends

Joey had his first play date yesterday. He played with Will Peterson (Andy and Katie) Leo Johnson (Julie and Kevin) and twins Nora and Meghan Gunderson (Chuck and Melanie).

A bad haircut..

We decided to have Bentley get a haircut because of his massive amounts of fur... not anticipating baldness, Derek's jaw almost hit the floor. When Bentley walked in the door, I started balling.... poor guy. We think he's depressed.

Team walk

The weather finally turned nice, so we were able to get outside and take a family walk. Do you think I can manage the stroller and two dogs by myself?

We did it!

Drew finally decided it was ok to hold Joey and he did a great job!

We just want to say that we are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends. Everyone has been so kind, generous, and supportive. It means a lot to us. Joey is so lucky to have such love in his life. We thank everyone!

Watching the Twins

Joey enjoyed watching the Twins with Grandpa Glen, even though they lost. Grandma Nancy says Grandpa was probably sweating bullets holding Joey, but we think he did just fine!

....A little while later....

Joey is never awake for very long! He looks quiet and innocent, but he is the noisiest baby I've ever met! He grunts and squawks and moves his arms around in his sleep. Mom can never get too much sleep because he is always making some sort of sound!

My three week Birthday!!

It is Joey's three week birthday today! I have no idea what the date is, I'm pretty sure it's Tuesday today, and three weeks ago this baby came in to our world, and we can't imagine life without him!

I have a belly button!!

It was a big day for Joey! His cord finally fell off! We went to the doctor last Tuesday for a 2 week check up, and found out his cord was a little infected. So we've been having to still clean it with alcohol and put topical antibiotic cream on it. So we've been waiting for the little bugger to fall off, and tonight it did! Yea Joey!

My cousin Drew

So far, this is the closest we've been able to get Drew to Joey. Hopefully we will get him to hold him soon. We are still trying to figure out who Joey looks like, and some think he looks like his cousin Drew.

Grandpa Paul and Joey were "having a talk." I don't know how deep in conversation they got, because Joey was hungry... one of the topics was "getting rid of that Nuk."

Tummy Time

We tried tummy time tonight. Joey is so strong! He was able to hold his head up and turn it to the other side!

Joey is chillen with his pink Nuk he got from the hospital, they ran out of blue ones. It's his favorite!
We are getting used to the every two hour feedings and spontaneous peeing when we change his diaper. Daddy says he's gaining distance. It makes for many loads of laundry!!
