Spoiled!

You would think we could handle 80 degrees after living in the desert with 115 degree temps, but no, it's too hot! So we have a pool for the dogs.

10 Weeks!

Usually Joey doesn't look this grumpy.... Today he is 10 weeks old. I can't believe it. It has been so fun, we love being parents. I have to go back to work on June 21, so I am enjoying every second I can be with him. Derek has long weekend this weekend, so we are excited about that.

Mission Accomplished!

Over the last few weeks, I've been trying to capture Joey's smile on film, and he never does it long enough for me to take his picture. So far this is it!

Hey Binz, the cabin is waiting for you! It is so nice being at the cabin. Joey loves the fresh air, and manages to fall asleep every time Grandma has him outside. Mom and dad have been clearing trails on the other side of the road for hiking and snowshoeing in the winter. It is beautiful!

Water Dog

Well, the reason for Bentley's hair cut was that he had such awful hot spots last year, the vet recommended to shave him down (hot spots are when their fur doesn't dry all the way and then their skin gets infected... gross). Well his fur is starting to grow back, and he is loving the water. As you can see, he submerges his whole head, don't ask us why. Bentley is our "special" dog.

It is amazing to me how fast Joey is developing. I'm so used to working with kids that have developmental delays. It is fascinating to see how a "typical" baby develops. Joey is figuring out how his arms work, and is able to reach up to hit the fish!

Happy 8 week birthday!

Joey boy is 8 weeks today. We have to go to the doctor tomorrow for shots, I'm not looking forward to that. Derek is off, so it will be a family affair. Our baby is getting so big. He would rather be on the floor kicking and moving, so much for cuddling! He is smiling and cooing, it is very fun!

Another new friend

Today we went to say hi to Joey's new friend Erik Panyan (of Susan and Rob Panyan). Some of you may remember Erik from my shower at Sally's. He is now 4 months old, and has the craziest hair I have ever seen!

I'm 7 weeks old!

Well, Joey is 7 weeks old today. It is going by so fast. He is smiling so much, and of course every time I try to capture it on film it just doesn't quite happen. So here are the many faces of Joseph Paul.

Joey's first road trip

This weekend we went down to Elk River to stay with Erin, Jeff and Celia. We had a great time, and Celia is saying, "We'll see you soon Joey, it's ok."
