Auntie and Uncle are home!

Linz and Brian rolled in on MOnday, to a very cold frigid northern MN. JOey was shy for about 5:00 minutes and then was tackling Brian to the ground!
Lindsey has been waiting to watch Muppet Family Christmas with JOey for the last few months. Here everyone was snuggled in cozy watching the movie, with Winfrey and Bentley eyeing up JOey's string cheese.

Last night we braved the cold to go sit in a cold arena to watch VHS play hockey. Here are Joey and his buddy Leo.

Happy Holidazzle

On Friday afternoon we jetted down to Elk River for our annual Holidazzle weekend. The kids have a reached a super fun age. They were so fun to watch.

They enjoyed a few nice games of Elefun (sp?) and the Christmas tree remained standing.
The next morning the dad's participated in nice round of tea party. I kept waiting for the dishes to break (Joey is not really used to playing with glass wear)..but no glue needed..

After a two hour nap for Celia, Joey, and Shelley (+baby) we set off for downtown Minneapolis. We had a nice dinner and then it was time to bundle up for the parade!

We are getting smarter as we age. We parked in an awesome parking ramp, on the bottom floor for easy exit.. we were ready in time to score curbside seating for the parade!

While Jeff and I went to Starbucks for some cider, chai, and hot chocolate, derek and erin kept the kids busy with candy canes. We only had to wait for the parade for about a 1/2 hour.

I love this christmas tradition and hope we can continue it every year! Thanks Skubics for a wonderful, relaxing weekend, filled with fun, food and debates about Tiger and Elin, and Jon and Kate....

Thanks to the guy standing next to us for taking our picture!

oh yes.. blueberry muffins for breakfast.

Joey pretending to sleep while we got gas in Zimmerman... too bad he waited until Cloquet to fall asleep. We got home and he said "mommy i'm tired..." =)

Happy Thanksgiving!

I didn't take a whole lot of pictures on THanksgiving. We were at Aho's this year. Joey played hockey in the garage ALL day.. as you can see by his face, its as red as his shirt. This was a forced time out to rehydrate and cool down.
Today my mom, Joey and I drove down to the Burgess house and got to meet baby Emma. She's got some wild hair, but is such a cutie and a good baby.

Linda was brave enough to let the toddlers decorate her christmas tree. lets just say there was a concentrated amount of ornaments at 3 feet and below...

These two sat together for about 10 seconds, long enough for a picture...

We decided today was the day for us to get our christmas tree as well. Joey has been wanting a pink tree.. we figured we could pacify that wish with pink lights...

I had to go back to target for 2 more boxes of lights... our tree has 5 strands of pink lights on it.

Happy holidays everyone. hope you had a great weekend!

hands covering its face
this is a butt view, you can see the two legs sticking out to the right, and in the middle.. nothing protruding... therefore.. it's a girl!

baby aho

the ultrasound tech nicknamed our baby "kick" because she was so active and kicking. she said she has very long legs. we are so excited, everything looked healthy and developing well.. she said the due date may even be 4 days earlier, but they probably won't officially change it. she'll be making her debut sometime in march or april!
