My little obsessed hockey player....

OUr mixed league curling team, Derek, JD (our skip) Jessie and Me! We won our first play off game! Grandma Becky babysits on Wed. for us. I took some of JOey's summer clothes back out, that were too big for him last year (to get ready for our up coming trip). Now he's been wanting to wear his swim trunks.. when we got home from curling, i asked my mom how everything went, apparantly Joey has his swim trunks on over his jammies.. i'll see if i can get that on camera in the a.m.

We went to go see Amanda and Baby Cal today. Cal is so darn cute!! JOey can't wait until Cal can play hockey with him!

Hailey came over to play with JOey on Friday night. She is so good with him! What a lucky boy he is to have such a good cousin. THey played downstairs while i ran on the treadmill, they watched Elf (by the way we've watched it every day for the last month)and had a snack together..

ANd read a book for about 5:00...

Happy 6th yr. Anniversary Derek

I love this picture. The photographer told Derek to kiss me on the cheek, he had to hold his face there for a long time, so he could take the picture. He was breathing so close to my face, and the wedding party was watching, I started laughing so hard I was crying! Today is our 6th anniversary. I remember being so happy that day, and hungry. My dad went to McDonald's and got cheese burgers for everyone, and the poor starving Groom didn't get any! It was a cold day, Jo Ellen was so sick, but a trooper helping me get ready. Derek wanted bagpipes at the wedding from the moment we were engaged, and I think it was a great suprise to everyone, something that made our day unforgettable. Erin and Jeff drove us up to Fortune Bay, with all the wedding decorations on the Explorer flying off as we drove. Erin was awesome, holding my dress up in the bathroom everytime I had to pee. Lindsey gave an awesome wedding poem speech that made everyone laugh and I think she may have danced "the robot" during the reception. Oh AND my cousin Brian met my friend Amanda and now they have baby Cal ! =).....you're welcome!
Derek, I love you so much. Our wedding was a fun and happy day. The days that followed have been an exciting adventure. Thank you for loving me despite my weaknesses and being such a patient, loyal, and supportive partner. I knew you were the "one" after our first date walking Bud. XOXO

A rough weekend

I think I have a little vegetarian on my hands. THe kid won't eat meat, but he'll eat raw broccoli, cawliflower and carrots, with dip of course. i had to take a picture to prove it. Joey has been getting over another round of croup. Friday he did not sleep at all, it was brutal, because i then had to work at 6:30 a.m. He took his first sauna at grandma and papa's house, which I think helped.

Despite not feeling the greatest, we got him outside to breathe some fresh air, since it was in the 20-30's. My elbows and shoulders now hurt after trying to wrestle the kid to come inside. HOw do they know just how to arch their backs, turn into dead weight, while wriggling like a snake in your arms?

Grandma Becky got JOey this super cool new NIke baseball hat. Red so we can spot him.. Grandma's always thinking..

We brought JOey, Drew, their cousin Aaron and Derek up to the Virginia Golf Course to go sliding. Joey was more interested in the snowmobiles riding on the trail and accross the golf course.
