Happy Thanksgiving!

I didn't take a whole lot of pictures on THanksgiving. We were at Aho's this year. Joey played hockey in the garage ALL day.. as you can see by his face, its as red as his shirt. This was a forced time out to rehydrate and cool down.
Today my mom, Joey and I drove down to the Burgess house and got to meet baby Emma. She's got some wild hair, but is such a cutie and a good baby.

Linda was brave enough to let the toddlers decorate her christmas tree. lets just say there was a concentrated amount of ornaments at 3 feet and below...

These two sat together for about 10 seconds, long enough for a picture...

We decided today was the day for us to get our christmas tree as well. Joey has been wanting a pink tree.. we figured we could pacify that wish with pink lights...

I had to go back to target for 2 more boxes of lights... our tree has 5 strands of pink lights on it.

Happy holidays everyone. hope you had a great weekend!

and the answer is.....

hands covering its face
this is a butt view, you can see the two legs sticking out to the right, and in the middle.. nothing protruding... therefore.. it's a girl!

baby aho

the ultrasound tech nicknamed our baby "kick" because she was so active and kicking. she said she has very long legs. we are so excited, everything looked healthy and developing well.. she said the due date may even be 4 days earlier, but they probably won't officially change it. she'll be making her debut sometime in march or april!

why you can never get anything done at home with a toddler...

Joey has been in to making "piles", this shelf was full of toys in little crates... today it is

in a pile!

along with every single book in his book shelf.. i hear more toys..he's moved on to trucks and tractors too.. i guess we will be sorting toys today.. but not till after ECFE and the ultrasound and probably nap time... arghhhh

Now I know why a child needs their dad.. every night joey and derek have been wrestling. unfortunately tonight joey ran head first into the chair and stated that a bandaid would make it feel all better. they need their daddies to rough house and the mommies to give the hugs. joey will be crying, need a hug and then say "i'm okay," and then go right back to wrestling... our house is a disaster and i just keep waiting for the first set of stitches...
