Big brother

Thank God for cousins..Hailey has been a blessing, keeping Joey entertained and playing with him. Unfortunately the jeep's battery was dead, so Hailey pushed Joey around grandma and grandpa's yard. what a girl!

So cozy!

home sweet home

Audrey is a great baby.. the first night was rough, we didn't get a whole lot of sleep. i'm nursing, but am supplementing until monday, when we go to the MD and see if she has gained back some weight. she was 8lb 10 oz, but had dropped to 8 lb 1 oz on discharge day. she has been awake a little bit more each day. so far her eyes are blue, but aren't all babies eyes blue right away?
a very proud and excited grandma b.

and proud papa paul

and a crazy 3 year old with lots of energy. joey has been adjusting ok. we have tried taking turns giving him lots of one on one time. grandma and grandpa also brought him to the boat show and DQ yesterday. the weather has turned icky, which makes it hard too, he hasn't been able to burn of energy outside. but i can say, at least he is excited to see his sister, he wants to hold her and play with her. we just have to be right there to say be gentle. we're trying to get on a routine.

my favorite time of day... nap time for all!

Another nice day

We took JOey's tractor out today and went for a walk.
He needed a little help keeping it straight, but he did a good job, and even honked his horn at a police man driving by.

There may be hope for us yet.

Maybe we won't have to start a hockey fund yet.....

I had a doctor's appt today. I am 1.5 cm dialated and 50% effaced... thats progress from last week! Will work until this little girl decides to join us.
Happy Birthday to Derek today (St. Patrick's Day!)

Happy Spring?

First gator ride of the year! g-bye snow!
Joey also got a new car seat. Note to self, make sure the doors are locked. Lets just say i was pulling up to a red light and someone opened the car door, at least it was in town and we were barely moving.
No baby news yet..

Plan B.

Yea! JD and Jessie just might have done it... a shirt other than the Farve Jersey!! This is Joey's new love!
We had perfect ice on the pond all through the winter, and this week the weather took a turn and warmed up (i'm not complaining!). We weren't able to play boot hockey on the pond for Joey's birthday party, but Grandpa hauled snow to make a small sliding hill, the boys shoveled, and played hockey in the driveway.

Derek and I tried shoveling the water to the edges on Friday night to help it freeze, but the middle was so deep, mother nature just couldn't fix it.

Even the grandma's got into the action!

Here's Joey and Zach heading down the hill!

Even cousin Madi came up north for the party. She was a hard core sledder!

The boys, checking out the status of the pond.

Mathew (4), Rob, Erik(3), Zach(soon to be 3), Joey(almost 3), Derek(not 3), and Levi(3).

It was so beautiful outside, the kids were jumping around the deck, enjoying the sunshine!

Even baby Natalie came. We curl with Natalie's mom and dad, and she also goes to day care with JOey. It was very important to him that she be there!

Joey loved his hockey DQ ice cream cake!

We survived the party... but we're tired...

Baby Emma Padgett came to the festivities too! Thanks to everyone who stopped by and was able to come. It was a very successful party. JOey is still sleeping, he fell asleep in the car on the way home, and i'm going to put my feet up. I hope pretty soon, not every picture of Joey on the blog will be featured with him in his Favre jersey.. lets just say he's a little attached to it. Pick your battles right??
