Joey was having trouble riding his trike so he asked grandma b and grandpa paul if they would get him a new bike, because he was "mad at his trike." He is in love with his bike, which he has named "number four". this morning he and derek went out at 7:15 am and biked all the way to grandma nancy's, and back again, for a total mileage of 2 miles!!! he waited about 10 minutes and wanted to go ride again.

audrey tried cereal for the first time. she had her 4 month check up on monday, and had to get shots. she was sad for about 2 days, but now is back to herself and napping like a champ. i think she's been asleep for 2 hrs this morning. her stats are now in the 50th % for height and weight. she is 14 pounds and developing fine. we are sad because our pediatrician is leaving. dr. madan has been so good to us. we are all sad that "dr. dan (joey's name for him)" is moving to woodbury.

on my birthday we went up to ely to the bear center and then of course to sir g's. this picture is for lindsey..soon linz soon.. my dad still thought i was 29 "are you turning 30?" he asked, i said no dad, 31. and he asked how old lindsey was.. "26?" and i said no dad, she's 28.

busy busy busy

Life has been very busy lately! last friday julie and i drove down to st. paul for maggie and sarah's bachelorette party. the bezek girls had rented a bus and we had clues to each destination. we ended up at the guthry for a photo op, sculpture garden for a few games, and then off to lake minnetonka for a cruise on a boat. it felt very "real housewives" such a break from my life consumed of nursing, dirty diapers, and playing trucks.

tonight we were hanging with manda,cal, her nieces, and julie, kevin, leo, and clark at the robinson cabin. thanks for letting us come swim!

Aho family day of fun

We got free tickets for the Depot and Aquarium at the library, so we decided to head to Duluth today. Joey was being shy, and tired, and kind of scared and got nervous climbing on the trains. We spent some time there and headed to Brighton beach. Of course on our way out of town, he wanted to go back and see the trains...

we only lasted a few hours in duluth. joey was tired, so instead of pushing it, we headed home early.

California cousins

on sunday we were able to go see kim, vicki, and the boys. they were looking for a chipmunk that was hiding in the rocks.

it didn't take long for the boys to warm up to each other. we took a "walk" down the trail on the island, vinny was in the lead and would hollar "come on joe!"

it doesn't matter what state you live in...boys will be boys..

This year was very HOT at the parade. i only got one picture because i was in the shade with audrey for the whole thing.

bucket baths! joey was thoroughly exhausted by the end of the day. unfortunately, i didn't take any pictures at the shower. being a mom of two young kids is exhausting!! between nursing a baby and making sure joey didn't head for the lake w/o a life jacket..no photos were taken.hopefully erin got some and can post. it was a fun day. we got to paint cool pots for dan and becky, and learn a little bit more about them with 20 questions.

the skubics and joey and derek braved the weather and stayed in the tent last night. i stayed in the screen porch with audrey. but neither my mom or i got any sleep, we kept waiting for everyone to come into the cabin because of the wind, rain and lightening. this was at 8:00 am

bentley fell in love with celia. too bad he's not quite a lap dog at over 100#.

joey's sand box was a huge puddle after all the rain! we went worm hunting! it was a hot 4th of july with may firsts..audrey's first tower parade, first bucket bath, joey's first time jumping off the dock and staying in a tent. thanks mom and dad for hosting the shower and for letting us stay, and thanks to the skubic gang for enduring torrential rain to camp in a tent!
