the tree

These are a little out of order, but that's ok. Joey wanted purple lights added to his pink lights from last year. This is going to be an interesting year, we'll see if this tree has a chance, between a 3 1/2 year old, an 8 month old, and 2 golden retrievers!

umm..it was a little big. I don't think it is as big as the Skubic's tree..but pretty close. We had to clip about 12 inches off the top, and Derek was "trimming the tree" in the most literal sense.

To flash back..Saturday we went out to my parents and hunted out the perfect Christmas tree. I think Joey had more fun riding in the sled.

Saturday night it was a trip to Bentleyville with my parents and the Skubic gang.

It was definitely worth the drive and the cold. Especially when we got to go to Old Chicago after for pizza!

Happy Thanksgiving

Joey has interesting wardrobe choices. Thanksgiving morning he had on his hat, shorts, a shortsleeved shirt, and his football gloves that you can see in the picture.

We did some yoga poses before heading over to Sally and Jacks for a nice, quiet dinner.

Thank you for having us over guys. It was a good afternoon. I hope we are invited back, I promise I'll bring a bottle of wine..

We love snowstorms and Elk River!

Of course, everytime we head to Elk River there's a snowstorm!! j/k. Joey woke up at 6:45 and was ready to go outside and play. Wahoo for snow..and dad's..who took the kids outside.
