They're here!

Yea! The Hawaii Baldwin's arrived! I didn't know if I was going to make the road trip to Mpls to pick up my sis, Audrey had had the flu the weekend before, and I ended up with an icky stomach earlier that morning..but I wasn't going to let that stop my road trip. So Derek being the supportive husband, called in to work, got the kids off to day care and let me stay in bed till 8:00. Then off for a quick stop at the Burgess's, the Skubic's, and then the airport. Let the Chirstmas Vacation begin!

Bentleyville 2011!

How many Aysta/Aho/Baldwin's can you cram in a Ford Expedition.....8!

Although I was really sad we could not make it down for our annual Skubic/Aho Holidazzle extravaganza..we tried to make up for it with a trip to Bentleyville. The weather was good, it wasn't packed, and the lights/music were great. We rocked it out to the Jewel Chirstmas and Raffi Christmas CD while we bonded cruising down the highway in the Aho family truckster!

Christmas Eve 2011

Audrey and Uncle Darren

Joey had a very good report from Teacher Beth, about his progress in School Readiness. Although he is quiet, and doesn't love the table top tasks, he listens well and follows directions. Grandma B and Grandpa Paul were very proud of him, so they took him out to Village Inn to celebrate. Here he is wearing his HI shirt in front of our Chirstmas tree.

A rare moment... Audrey had a touch of the stomache flu this week, not fun, but better a week before than on Christmas!

Feeling better! This girl loves her shoes, boots, and hats!

..another rare moment...

Joey was invited to Will's 5th birthday party. Can't believe its been 5 years already!

Project November

How many Finlanders does it take to put in insulation?

With a little inspecting, we found out there was no insulation in our upstairs dry storage. So a Saturday night trip to Lowes it was, to purchase the goods.

Thank goodness for Grandpa's! Sunday the boys were busy. Thanks for all your help. Joey was their assistant!

Happy Thanksgiving 2012

This girl does sleep sometimes! This year we had dinner with the Aho's and desert with Thompsons.

October

Eating some popcorn and watching Tom and Jerry with Joey

Walking in the woods at Grandpa Glen's shack, where's Joey?

Derek was showing Joey how to use the sling shot.

Leo came over the other day..Super heros playing Leapster!

We carved a pumpkin very early. Joey was super excited to get a pumpkin. I think the squirrels love us, because they've eaten most of our pumpkins that are on outside!

At open skating with the Johnson boys.

Derek and I stayed in Duluth a few weekends ago. I signed up to run the Whistle Stop Half Marathon. So we left Duluth at 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, drove to Ashland, I ran, we had lunch with two of Derek's friends, and then came back to enjoy not having to tend to kids. Thanks to Grandma B and Grandpa Paul for watching the kids. I think they were tired.. they said our kids "are active."

Donny, Me, Jodie, and Ben, half marathon finishers!

So glad to have bumped in to Jodie Cope. We ran the race together..it was very fun!
