Happy Easter!

Our four year old has been developing quite the imagination. His best buddy "Mac" or sometimes known as "Mackey" has been hanging out with Joey a lot. We have to get him something to eat, we have to comb his hair and brush his teeth, and we had to include him on our letter to the Easter Bunny.
Trying to dye Easter Eggs..trust me it was a challenge. I think we only dropped 3 on the floor..

Grandma and Grandpa stopped by for a little "I Spy" challenge

Easter! We tried sporting the super fancy frilly dress, but this girl is like her mama, and is all about comfort!

Finding Easter eggs out in Pike River

Finally no snow! It was a beautiful day. We spent most of the morning outside, flying kites, airplanes, riding the gator, finding Easter eggs..whew!
the sign of a fun day...a boot stuck in the mud

Even Audrey got to ride on the gator!

We were at Grandma Nancy's and Grandpa Glen's in the afternoon. Grandma drew Joey a map to find his Easter treats

Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Birthday Party!

Thank you to everyone who came to help celebrate Audrey's 1st birthday! We missed those that couldn't make it. It was great to have so much family in one house!

look closely

Audrey's Great Grandma and Grandpa even made the trek from Babbitt to join us.

Auntie Binzer and Uncle Brian got to join us via skype...although I wish they could have been here in person.

Very delicately poking the cake.

April showers...

I had a good day with the kids today, except for Audrey having to get shots at her one year well child check, but other than that, we had fun playing. Joey kept asking to take out his wagon, and he wanted to pull Audrey. As you can see, he headed straight for the mud. Rubber boots are in our near future..
Joey ended up pulling half his weight for about 7 blocks, then I ended up pulling 60# not including the wagon..back home..in some rain drops..
I hope they love each other this much for ever.

Good news! Our big girl no longer has her Grade 2 reflux. She had her dr.'s appointment on Thursday, and they did 2 diagnostic tests, and she is all done with pediatric urology! The only bad news was that we came home, and I brought her to the clinic and she has an ear and sinus infection. The last 4 nights have been kind of rough. Hopefully we will all get some sleep soon!
Derek also has good news! He will be done with his Bachelor's Degree in management from the University of Phoenix online in about 3 weeks. He just started a new job on Friday as a pit foreman. He is no longer union, and has moved over to the management side. We are happy about this, and are looking forward to a better schedule and more time off! No more washing trucks and getting full of grease, and working straight midnights!
We took a ride out to the lake today, because it was so nice outside. it is about 46 degrees. There were a ton of 4-wheelers and snowmobiles, and even some crazy guy driving his Explorer, we think he was lost. The dogs got some much needed exercise!
Hailey came with us too to enjoy the sunshine. My parents said they aren't coming back form HI unless the snow is gone...I guess we won't see them for awhile! j/k the snow has been melting, it is almost gone in town.

The crazy Explorer driving in Fraiser bay..they are a ways off from the water skipping!
Oh we miss the lake!

Things are looking up!
