Just playing outside...

Now that Joey has had a taste of being outside, he doesn't want to come in! We have enjoyed watching him pick up sticks, play in the sand, go down the slide and swing at the park. Trying to keep him out of my garden is just about as difficult as keeping 2 golden retrievers out!
Just chillen at the lake with Auntie and Uncle!
Happy last day of school Auntie Steph!!!

Happy Mother's Day!

This weekend we went down to Elk River and stayed with the Skubics. Celia was so patient with Joey, letting him play with all her toys. Celia was having a good time playing with Joey's blanket. Derek was playing golf in the US Open Qualifier on Monday. So Jeff, Brian, and Derek braved the torrential rain on Saturday for a practice round. Today was very windy and Derek said he played well, but his score didn't show it. We are proud of him anyways. Not too many people are able to compete in an event like that.
Erin was kind enough to try and teach Joey about farm animals...

On Mother's Day, we all packed up and drove to downtown Minneapolis to eat at the Japanese Steak house Ichiban's thanks to a gift certificate from Lindsey and Brian. Auntie you would have been proud, Joey tried eating with chopsticks and loved the fried rice!
It was all fun and games until Erin got hit in the head with a piece of flying egg. I think that was the most entertaining part of the evening!

The rest of the night

We went to the Sculpture Park after dinner so the kids could run around. It was a beautiful night.
There is no turning back.. Joey is officially walking. He also has been enjoying finding and carrying sticks.
Walking with dad...
The mom's, celebrating Mother's Day with their most favorite little people.
Today Erin, CC, Joey and I went for a walk to one of the parks. While Celia was busy walking the trail, my child decided to eat some dirt.... Gotta love boys! Thanks to the Skubics for being such gracious hosts. We had a great time, we love spending time with you guys. I could have watched Joey and Celia together for days on end. They are so entertaining. See you soon. XO the Aho's

We think he knows the purpose of the camera now.... what a ham!

Joey has been learning to walk... he has been covered in many colorful scrapes and bruises. His latest thing is to climb up on the kitchen chair and "write". Derek said today he was getting mad because he was trying to put the key in the front door to "unlock" it. These babies.. they're smarter than we think!
