This weekend we went down to Elk River and stayed with the Skubics. Celia was so patient with Joey, letting him play with all her toys. Celia was having a good time playing with Joey's blanket. Derek was playing golf in the US Open Qualifier on Monday. So Jeff, Brian, and Derek braved the torrential rain on Saturday for a practice round. Today was very windy and Derek said he played well, but his score didn't show it. We are proud of him anyways. Not too many people are able to compete in an event like that.

Erin was kind enough to try and teach Joey about farm animals...

On Mother's Day, we all packed up and drove to downtown Minneapolis to eat at the Japanese Steak house Ichiban's thanks to a gift certificate from Lindsey and Brian. Auntie you would have been proud, Joey tried eating with chopsticks and loved the fried rice!

It was all fun and games until Erin got hit in the head with a piece of flying egg. I think that was the most entertaining part of the evening!

I just heard a blurb on public radio this morning about a downtown Asian restaurant that had to hire special cleaners to get the rice out of all their lighting fixtures, including the little stick trees filled with lights! Honestly, who would let their kids throw rice around like that? Haha...looks like you guys had fun!! GAS
What a fun weekend. What a Happy Mother's Day, egg in the face. Hmmmm....
I am glad you all had fun. :)

Yes, nothing like a good food fight, do you guys remember the movie Animal House? You guys are too young, good rental on some cold rainy day.
Gramma Becky called Sally last night about Joey walking. Good boy Joey and good luck Derek and Shelly. Your fun has now officially started.
Crash! Bang! Oh my gosh! Joey you can't climb up there but as long as your up there would you dust the top of the fridge?
