Joey and Derek drove down to catch me crossing the finish line, unfortunately, Derek tried to take a picture of me running, and the camera was off. So here are JOey and I at the end of the race. It was very hot!!! 66 degrees when we started, and very humid. According to my watch, i finished in 2:15.
I'm trying to convince Derek to run with me one year.
Just resting in the grass, watching the racers come in.
Here is the first place full marathoner running in..
We headed to the Land of the Loon for a quick gyro and then home for a nap. I was tired after getting up at 2:45 a.m. !!!

Congrats, Shel! Also, love the post-race gyro...ahh, memories from Land of the Loon! I hope to see you in a few weeks when I'm home from the 1st- 8th. Let me know if/when you'll be free!
Congrats on finishing your half-marathon, Shel!! You make me feel like a slug...the kids (Livie & Tony) think it's hilarious there's a marathon named "Grandmas"!!! Kind of an oxymoron thingy, I guess!!!
Congrats Shel! You are amazing...still can't believe you were out walking at Land of the Loon after the race. Does Joey still miss his lemon??? :)
