Day 2 in training

We took my co-worker Rick's advice and let Joey wear his skates in the living room on the carpet. He did much better!

winter sports

these are kind of out of order... derek brought joey to get some used skates today. we tried it, but i think he just wanted to be able to skate, without trying to push a chair or stand up or practice. we gave it a good effort and then just put the boots back on. i'm glad we finally got a helmet for him though and i'm happy he will wear it.

we also signed up for a gymnastics class on saturday mornings. this is the first structured thing we've done. the first half was questionable, but then he got the hang of it...we'll see,,,

vacation

Anyone else want a beach vacation? i was looking at our pictures from Mississippi today... really could use some sun and warm temps...
Well, after 2 rounds of steriods, a bottle of infant/toddler tylenol, a trip to the doctor, lots of juice, water and milk, lots of movies and cuddling, a few loads of laundry (due to throwing up from coughing so hard), and many nights of no sleep.. i think Joey has recovered from croup. He will start coughing when he starts running around, but its nice to see him have some energy again. wishing everyone a fast january and february and a countdown to spring!

Then.... he got croup. =( we have been confined to the house for 3 days... lots of up at night...and no sleep.
