"I have a pink eye!" Tuesday I got a call from daycare, that Audrey had thrown up. So I left work, picked up the kiddos and headed for home. Audrey had a fever of 101.5..and of course everytime she gets sick I panic. Gave her tylenol, and was up A LOT that night. Joey woke up at midnight and said "mommy, my eye hurts." i said, ok, and come in bed with me. Looked at him the next morning, and sure enough, crusty red eyes = pink eye! eye drops twice a day for 7 days.
I called in sick wed. because joey couldn't go to daycare with pink eye, and audrey still wasn't right. she was running a low grade temp and not eating great. the clinic had rescheduled her 9 month well child check for friday, so off we go to the clinic and sure enough..an ear infection!! (plus 2 teeth poking through). no wonder! so antibiotics twice a day for 10 days!! all i can say is at least it all happened this week, so that next week/weekend we can have lots of fun!
Grandma and grandpa took joey over night friday. So of course when we went to pick him up we had to play hockey!!
The rink is ready! I know Thompson's, Skubic's, and Maras's will be coming over Christmas Day. If anyone else feels like making the trek up to Pike River, bring your winter clothes! WE're hoping for a nice day. Maybe Joey will get the hockey party he wanted for his birthday last year (but it was too warm and the ice melted).

To quote Celia, "Oh my heck."
Let's hope you're right in that next weekend will be healthy and happy. :)
See you soon!
Jo
That's quite the week - UG! Hopefully you are all better now & can enjoy Christmas!
Ha! remind me not to eat any of your cookies. Can you catch the flu and pink eye through cookies?? :) Hope things are on the up and up at the Aho house. The good news is neither of the dogs threw up, right? So things could always be worse.

This too shall pass...won't be long and you'll be complaining because Joey missed his curfew and Audrey wants her nose pierced. Would all of us together weigh as much as the John Deere that broke through the pond? Should I bring life jackets?
